Welcome to my website.

My abstract oil paintings are a celebration of colour, the natural world and the changing seasons, inspired by the sun and the moon, sunrise and sunset, the sky, sea and land.

I have always considered the world a mystical, magical place. Through my art I try to express that sense of mystery.

Using horizontal bands and blocks of harmonious colours, evocative of the bands of colour seen in the sky, I paint the spiritual and the mystical.

My paintings have a high gloss finish achieved by using thin glazes of transparent colours, together with thicker layers of Michael Harding artisan oil paints and also oil bars on smooth gesso wood panels. The white surface of the gesso shines through the paint producing a luminous effect.

My paintings radiate light and colour.
